Every day, you treat patients for allergies caused by environmental pollens—but do you know where those allergens come from? Join us for the Stallergenes Greer Allergen Walk at NAVDF 2025 and gain firsthand insight into the plants that may be affecting your patients.

The walks will be led by Tricia Sowers, PhD, who has extensive knowledge of allergen cross-reactivity, allergenicity, major allergen characterization, and many other topics.

Allergen Walks Include:

  • Pollen production and pollen characteristics
  • Male and female flowers and their relationship to allergenicity
  • Seasonality of pollen production by different species
  • Cross-reactivity of allergens from different species
  • Methods of pollen collection
  • Processing pollen into sterile products for testing and treatment
  • Allergen sources other than plant pollen such as fungi and insects

More Than Skin Deep: Controlling Parasites That Love to Crash the Party

This comprehensive program provides veterinary professionals with a deep dive into the world of canine parasitology, exploring common and emerging threats, and introduces a recently approved comprehensive parasiticide protection product for dogs. Attendees will gain practical knowledge and insights to enhance their ability to diagnose, treat, and prevent parasitic infections in dogs. The program begins with a foundational review of common external (fleas and ticks) and internal (hookworms, roundworms, tapeworms, heartworms) parasites affecting dogs, covering disease states, and key features. Emerging and expanding parasite threats will be highlighted, particularly Echinococcus tapeworms, providing recent research updates and public health implications.
