You may have noticed a scheduled change from previous years, let us explain why!
The date/day pattern has changed from previous years with the Resident Education Forum on Saturday and Sunday and the NAVDF Welcome Reception on Sunday, with full days of sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Due to COVID and the impact it had on everything, including the meeting industry, many conference hotels have changed their day pattern of hosting conferences to maximize their potential revenues for small and medium-size meetings, like NAVDF. They have divided the week into two parts to facilitate hosting two groups in one week. That means that their booking schedules are now Saturday/Sunday to Wednesday and Wednesday to Saturday/Sunday.
With this new development, the previous NAVDF schedule of Tuesday to Friday is no longer an option with most hotels. Therefore, to get a hotel with the meeting space we required on the desired dates, we needed to revise the days of the NAVDF2025. The Hyatt Regency Orlando was the best option we received and unfortunately, the Wednesday to Saturday block was already booked by another group.
